Although there is an emphasis on taijutsu (empty hand) techniques, weapons training with bokken (wooden swords), jo (wooden staves), and tanto (wooden knives) is integrated into some classes. There is a dedicated weapons class on Monday evenings.

On public holidays a regular class is held at 10am and other classes are cancelled.
Generally classes are held irrespective of weather conditions although on days of very heavy snow or freezing rain regular instructors may not be able to make it to class or may be late. Students should consider their own safety in getting to and from class. If in doubt, call the dojo (518.785.6883) to check if an instructor has arrived/will be arriving or if a senior student will teach the class.
* Randori class is for advanced students who can take advanced ukemi. Please talk to Sensei before attending.
